Effective Mobile Corporate Access

The Ericsson Mobile Corporate Access, EMCA, is a solution that allows roaming between different client access networks. The EMCA solution also ensures that the VPN connection survives when access network roaming is performed. The networks could be any type of LAN, priv-WLAN, publ-WLAN, GPRS and 3G. The EMCA suite provides two alternatives of roaming, implemented on the SSL- (session) level, alternatively on the IP level. The selection of EMCA technology is just a matter of company policy, related to the selection of VPN technology preferred for client access to the intranet.

Using EMCA provides the user with seamless mobility for all types of session oriented applications, such as:
 
  • Remote login using OTP and/or VPN
  • DB access
  • VoIP
  • Streaming Media & Other on-line applications
Both fixed and wireless networks by this way, are put into one context from the users perspective. EMCA is a tool that provides ehanced user comfort and increase productivity, for the business user in mind.
