With innovative technology, Ericsson's new integrated
Multi-Service Edge Device HL950 addresses all the needs of data and
voice services within small and medium sized enterprises.

| |
| Ericsson's HL950 is a platform for
powerful voice and data services for small and medium sized enterprises.
It offers leased line and private line enhancement as entry-level application,
but also provides a full set of high-end IP access routing features
including elevated VPN support and QoS mechanisms, and advanced voice
and switching services.
Concurrent data and voice services are enabled by intelligent mechanisms,
which ensure proper prioritization of in- and outgoing traffic
streams. Virtual LANs are used for separating services, and policing
and shaping can be based on multiple criterias, for instance application,
port or IP address. |

| |
All the software services are unlockable on-demand by
license key activation via any network management interface. This allows
scenarios with customer self-activation on a per-functionality model
and highly tailor-made, yet automatic, service provisioning. The dynamic
service provisioning creates a sound business model where the charging
is subscription-based and clearly connected to the used functionality
and perceived value. New services such as access routing, IP security
and packet or cell based voice applications can easily be introduced
to the same subscriber, without additional sales costs or new investment
in infrastructure.
The subscriber can benefit from a flexible service package, while the
service provider still have extensive network management capabilities
as well as all the tools for offering fully managed service level
agreements, including monitoring and reporting. |
| |
| |
The HL950 bridges traditional services to new technologies
and offers a smooth migration way - both for the service provider and
the actual subscriber. Modular interfaces bring flexibility and as the
HL950 connects both to legacy, ATM and IP networks, it enables the service
provider to migrate without service interruption. New bundled services
can then easily be offered along with the already existing ones.
The wide range of data and voice service, also means that service providers
can benefit from single inventory, where the HL950 is the cornerstone
of the service offering to the small and medium sized enterprises. |
